I enjoyed the short. It's a quirky little piece with a humorous irony about it. The Burroughs story was funny. The black and white photography was good but nothing to write home about, which is how I feel about the whole thing. The film serves just as a wry, mildly funny joke and nothing more. It's interesting to see how famous directors first got their start in film, but otherwise I haven't got much to say about this.

This may have been one of my favorite shorts we've watched so far. I thought it was really funny too, and I really liked the black-and-white photography. That, along with some of the special effects (like the objects moving into place on their own) gave the whole film a do-it-yourself quality that I really enjoyed. Even better was how, for having that homemade quality, the film used multiple settings, characters, and even time periods, to help expand on its premise. In other words, its ambition didn't seem diminished by its resources, and I really appreciated that about it.

  4. That was a very interesting film. It had a very original concept but I felt like the story was a little difficult to follow. It kept changing characters but never tied them all in together. I was also never sure when it was being serious and when it was being funny. I found it slightly humorous but only mildly entertaining. It was an interesting choice to shoot black and white. It reminded me of the old instructional videos they would make for kids that we all watch now for fun.

  5. It was interesting but probably not something I would watch again. I was really uneasy about the ending and I'm not quite sure how to feel about it. It made the quiet, slow, how-to-do feel of the rest of the film feel very creepy and unsettling rather than helpful. It felt cruel intended after it was over because you are left with the point that shooting someone is something you can "do easy" when you relax. It left me second and third guessing the overall point and I still haven't settled on what I think it is.

  6. Ummmm..Is all I have to really say about that. I don't think I have ever been more perplexed after watching a film then now. I mean I understand what they were converting but it didn't really have a story structure that is presented in a normal fashion. It was different, not necessarily good or bad but just so different. There was a lot of thought that went into the examples given but that's about all I can say that stood out to me.
